Writing a Grad School Essay

Do you have any recommendations for resources on how to write a personal statement or essay for graduate school? I’m considering applying to a masters program but am at a loss on how to write a 500-word essay on why I want to pursue this program.

    If you don’t know what to write you probably shouldn’t go. I’m not kidding. Graduate school is extremely high risk because you are spending time an money to have someone pigeonhole you. If you are not absolutely dying to have a career that for certain requires this degree then don’t go. Just go get a job — a job you don’t like is a better career move than grad school in most cases.
