I gave away some of my maternity clothes. But I kept the prettiest stuff. I can’t imagine never being pregnant anymore? Never having a baby grow under my belly.

I’ve never heard someone say they wish they had fewer kids. I hear many, many women wish they had more.

Bryan Caplan has a great book on why to have more kids. His analysis influenced my ideas about parenting – how little we can influence long-term outcomes – which is the reason I would have been scared to have more kids. https://a.co/d/06qWT8T9
A bit about location: In the US more than two kids in New York City or San Francisco is an expression of wealth. Outside those cities more than two kids is manageable financially. Find out if other people are doing what you’re doing where you live – check that people in your income bracket are living with more than two kids, in a way you expect to live, where you are living.
